BSc G1L1 Mathematics with Economics UMS
Dear London School of Economics,
I am making a freedom of information request regarding the statistics for the G1L1 BSc Mathematics with Economics course for the most recent annual cycle that the requested statistics are available.
1. How many applicants had Mathematics and Further Mathematics UMS of 600/600, 599/600, and 598/600?
2. i) What Mathematics and Further Mathematics UMS percent average would put an applicant in the 50th percentile, the 80th percentile, the 90th percentile, the 95th percentile, and the 99th percentile of applicants?
2. ii) For applicants in the ranges above, what percentage received offers?
An example, using totally fabricated data, of what I am looking for:
An 85% UMS average was required to be in the 50th percentile of applicants.
25% of applicants who achieved between 85% and 100% were given offers.
A 92% UMS average was required to be in the 80th percentile of applicants.
40% of applicants who achieved between 92% and 100% were given offers.
A 94% UMS average was required to be in the 90th percentile of applicants.
55% of applicants who achieved between 94% and 100% were given offers.
And so on.
3. i) What percentage of applicants offered an AS qualification in Additional Further Mathematics?
3. ii) What percentage of applicants offering an AS qualification in Additional Further Mathematics were given offers?

I received acknowledgement of my freedom of information request on the 2nd of November.
The Freedom of Information Act says:
"A public authority must comply with section 1(1) promptly and in any event not later than the twentieth working day following the date of receipt."
20 working days after the acknowledgement email was the 28th of November, and thus you are late in responding, and so are breaking the law.
I quote my freedom of information request, send on the 2nd of November, below:

The School does not hold this information, as we do not hold the UMS marks
for applicants.
