Dear King's College London,
I would like to request the average grade for all King's Business School and Department of Political Economy- modules for 2021, 2022, and 2023 (breakdown on a module basis, only level 4-6 modules, in 10% percentiles).
In addition, I would like to request the average grade for the BSc Economics students for the last three years (in 10% percentiles per year). Moreover, I would like to request how many BSc Economics students have received each degree classification at the point of graduating.

Dear Walid,
Request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (“the
Act”)
Further to your recent request for information held by King’s College
London, I am writing to confirm that the requested information is held by
the university.
Your request
We received your information request on 6^th August 2023 and have treated
it as a request for information made under section 1(1) of the Act.
You requested the following information:
1. I would like to request the average grade for all King's Business
School and Department of Political Economy- modules for 2021, 2022,
and 2023 (breakdown on a module basis, only level 4-6 modules, in 10%
percentiles).
2. In addition, I would like to request the average grade for the BSc
Economics students for the last three years (in 10% percentiles per
year).
3. Moreover, I would like to request how many BSc Economics students have
received each degree classification at the point of graduating.
Our response
In relation to points 1 and 2 of your request, A small amount of personal
data has been withheld under Section 40(2) of the FOIA (2000). Where the
total number of students who were enrolled onto a module numbered 5 or
less, the data for that module has been withheld. The University considers
that the low numbers, in combination with information from other
accessible sources, mean it is reasonably likely that students could be
identified. Such identification would constitute a breach of the first
data protection principle ‘fair and lawful processing’ (Article 5,
GDPR).
Checks with the relevant department have confirmed that while some of the
module marks are held, others are currently in the process of being
re-assessed, and these marks will not be available until the autumn.
Disclosing the current incomplete marks would provide you with inaccurate
data which would then be subject to change.
You are also welcome to resubmit your request later in the year when all
the marks should be available.
The attached appendix provides details relevant to the rest of your
request. Please consider the notices in red when analysing the data.
Please note:
▪ Mark distribution calculations are based on the ratified results only
and does not include records with a mark of zero (considering a
non-submission), withdrawn and deferred records. .
This completes the university’s response to your information request.

If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your
information request or feel that it has not been properly handled you have
the right to complain or request a review of our decision by contacting
