Dear University of Warwick,
On question 4, I mean achieved 5's on AP tests. Sorry for the confusion

Yours faithfully,

Harsha

Thank you for submitting an FOI request, requesting information from the
University of Warwick. In order to comply with your request, we would be
grateful if you could please clarify the following:

·        Does question one this mean applicants who, at the time of
application, already had AP qualifications or does it mean both those
people AND people who were in the process of taking such qualifications?
Please note that AP qualification information does not come to the
University via UCAS, therefore the University will not hold recorded
qualification information for applicants who didn’t receive an offer,
whether they had already taken the tests or not.

·        Does question two mean people who already had the qualifications
or both those and those in the process of taking them? Similarly to the
above point, the University will not have stored the qualification
information of any offer holder whose achievements subsequently failed to
meet the required standard and were rejected at that stage.

·        Does question three mean all offers, or just those with/taking AP
qualifications? If it is the latter, the University is presented with the
same issues as pointed out in response to questions 1 and 2 above.

·        Question 4 presents the same issues as the University will only
hold information of those who already had the qualifications at the time
of applying (and only where these were sufficient for them to receive an
unconditional offer).

·        As question 2/4

Essentially the University only holds AP qualification information for
applicants who were either a) successful in getting an unconditional offer
from the beginning (Because they had already met the requirements and had
already achieved the qualifications) or b) those who were originally
conditional offer holders and who met the terms of their offer therefore
it is unlikely that the University will be able to answer any of your
questions accurately.

Please be advised that the University will be unable to proceed with your
request until you have provided the requested clarifications and the 20
working day statutory time limit does not begin until clarification has
been received. Should we not receive a reply to this email, your request
will be closed in 20 working days.

Kind regards,

Dear infocompliance, Resource,
For question 1, it means people who already had the AP qualifications at the time of application meaning they fulfilled the entry requirements for Economics(L100) as listed on Warwick's website

For question 2, it means people who already had the AP qualifications at the time of application meaning they fulfilled the entry requirements for Economics(L100) as listed on Warwick's website

You can disregard question 3 and 4

Yours sincerely,

Harsha Rajesh

Dear infocompliance, Resource,
For question 1 and question 2, I mean applicants who already had the AP qualifications at the time meaning they had fulfilled the entry requirements for Economics(L100) as listed on Warwick's website.

You can disregard question 3 and 4

Yours sincerely,

Further to your clarification email below, the admissions team have
confirmed the following:

You confirmed that you only are only interested in people who ‘already had
the AP qualifications at the time meaning they had fulfilled the entry
requirements for Economics(L100) as listed on Warwick's website’, however,
unfortunately, the University can’t distinguish if someone already had the
qualifications to meet the criteria at the point of application because
its codes cover all the conditions needed to meet offer (so, someone might
have met the academic conditions but still needed an English language test
or been missing a reference –they will have got a conditional offer;
someone who met ALL the conditions would have got an unconditional offer
so while both will have got the AP qualifications already, they will have
been coded differently for other reasons, and our system doesn’t allow to
easily see the exam results of each applicant to distinguish between
them).

What the University has been able to identify is all the people who when
they applied declared that they were doing/had done AP qualifications.
This is the applicant’s declaration, but is not verified, but it does
enable the University to identify applicants who would have been taking
those qualifications, but not yet finished them as well, as applicants who
had finished them. As such, the University is in position to provide you
with the total of applications and the type of offer they received
(conditional/unconditional) – please can you confirm whether this is
something you would be interested in?

Please be advised that the University will be unable to proceed with your
request until you have confirmed that you are happy to proceed on the
basis the University has suggested above. The 20 working day statutory
time limit does not begin until clarification has been received. Should we
not receive a reply to this email, your request will be closed in 20
working days.

Kind regards
