Dear Dr Buckley,

Thank you for your email of 20 April 2024 to the UK Health Security Agency
(UKHSA) regarding a Brucella canis incident. I work on the team that
handles enquiries and have been asked to respond to your request.

For reference purposes, you raised a query about the Brucella canis
incident mentioned in this Freedom of Information request: [1]603 FOI
Brucella canis cases among humans in the UK.pdf (whatdotheyknow.com). I
can confirm the incident remains under investigation and has yet to be
closed. We are therefore not in a position to respond to your original
questions in relation to case numbers in 2023.

Yours sincerely,

Scott
