Brucella canis

We're waiting for Ms Buckley to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Liverpool Clinical Laboratories,

Many thanks for taking the time to respond to my previous requests. In my last request you mentioned that 24 individual human samples were used to model the expected range of results on the iELISA for the a person that has never been infected with Brucella canis.

I wondered if you could tell me:

1. What the confidence interval was associated with this negative sample of results? Plus, the max/min/median/mean?

2. How these samples were obtained?

3. What the sample looked like in terms of key human demographic features? In particular, were these people that: a) owned dogs, or b) worked with dogs professionally?

4. What measures were in place to ensure that this sample was representative of a) dog owners, and b) veterinary professionals?

5. Of positive test results, what was the max/min/median/mean/std.dev of these? (if you have this by individual person, 1st test result only, that would be helpful too!).

Many thanks for your time as always.

Yours faithfully,

Dr Buckley
