BRP Card Delivery Delay (Case Ref: 020644290)

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Home Office should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Home Office,

I applied for an FLR(M) visa at the Glasgow centre on 13/05/2016 and should have received my BRP card by now. It has been over 10 days. I have completed the online form and aware that it might take up to 5 days for someone to get back to me. I don't rely on this information since obviously the estimated delivery time period has not been followed by the Home Office.

What my main frustration is that there is no "human" to speak to in such a situation. I have an extremely urgent trip to make and I am solely dependent on the BRP card to arrive. I paid £500 extra to expedite the process and here I am, clueless about where my BRP card is and whether or not I am going to receive in the next couple of days. There is no transparency when it comes to information available on this. I have spoken to DX Delivery and they don't have anything to deliver on my address, so clearly, it is a delay on Home Office's part.

I have repeatedly tried contacting my caseworker to understand what is the speediest way to get the BRP card but the numbers that are available on public directories apparently never get picked up, which is disgraceful.

Please advise what is the best way forward in this situation.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your email. According to our system the BRP request was sent on 13th May 2016. The cards are issues at a central point and not the individual office that you attended for your appointment so we are unable to give further information regarding your BRP. On the letters issued to you by the caseworker, there is information as to what you need to do in the event that your card does not arrive. I refer you to these instructions.

I apologise that it has taken so long for your card to arrived but as I have stated, I can not offer any further advice on the card.
