I respond to your email below. You should by now have received a further
extension notice from the person dealing with your request. Please accept
my apology for the fact that it was not forwarded to you yesterday.

At this point an 'internal review' cannot be carried out because there has
not yet been a response to you that can be reviewed. Please see the ICO
good practice guidance in respect of section 45 of the codes of practice
that provides information as to when an internal review should be carried
out.

I am writing to request an internal review of Merseyside Police's
handling of my FOI request 'British National Party - Membership
List' as the first due response date has passed (response due 9th
Jan) and your alternative promised date for dealing with this
request (28th Jan) has now also passed without a response being
received.

Please address this matter with the utmost urgency and no later
than 30th Jan; as a police service you are now in the unseemly
position of breaking the law and I fully intend bringing this
matter to the attention of the rightful authorities with the
intention of initiating action available against you.
