Dear Frank

Thank you for your email which has been passed to me directly.

The pre-feasibility study for an underground was conducted and paid for by
the West of England Combined Authority (WECA) and therefore I recommend
you approach them for the report.

I would stress that there are no “plans” at this stage – I asked WECA to
look into the pre-feasibility to assess the viability of the idea. Now
WECA and north Somerset Council are preparing a study into mass transit
options, including an underground, as part of work on the Joint Transport
Study which plans for Bristol’s future expansion.

Kind regards
