2. the number of supervisory and managerial staff within the service, again split by whole time and seasonal staff.

3. Job descriptions for each position / job title within the service

4. The approved budget and a detailed Income & Expenditure account for the service for the last three financial years at the most detailed categories recorded on the Council's finance system. If this information is available at a monthly level please provide at that level.

5. A fleet list of vehicles and vessels used by the service including make/ model / registration numbers

6. the times / date covered by the service.

7. the number of fixed posts manned by lifeguards

8. details of the number / type of incidents attended for each of the previous three years.

The Seafront Office operates 365 days of the year from 6am – 7.30 pm in
the bathing season, from 6am – 6pm in the Autumn/Spring and 6am – 5pm in
the Winter. 

Lifeguard Service – Bathing season only

The English bathing water season as stipulated by the Environment Agency
and Defra is 15^th May – 30^th September nationally and each local
authority shall choose their own season dates accordingly.  Each year the
season in Brighton and Hove begins and ends on the start of the late May
bank holiday and the end of the first week in September.  This year these
dates fall on 28^th May and 4^th September. 

From East to West the lifeguard service is in operation at the following
station locations and times:

 

·         Saltdean: 1130 – 1730 (School summer holidays only). BN2 8SQ.
Beach code BE01.

·         Rottingdean: 1130 – 1730 (School summer holidays only). BN2 7HR.
Beach code BE02.

·         Ovingdean: 1130 – 1730 (School summer holidays only). BN2 7AF.
Beach code BE03.

·         Duke’s Mound / Nudist Beach (just west of Marina): 1130 – 1730.
BN2 1EN. Beach code BE04.

·         Brighton Pier East: 0930 – 1900. BN2 1PS. Beach code BE05.

·         Brighton Pier West: (Between Albion groyne and Donut groyne)
1130 – 1900. BN2 1TD. Beach code BE06.

·         Brighton Central: (In front of Seafront Office) 0930 – 1900. BN1
2FN. Beach code BE08.
