Brief for Liverpool John More's University re Sexual Health Contract

N.Siddle made this Freedom of Information request to NHS Vale Royal Clinical Commissioning Group

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Dear NHS Vale Royal Clinical Commissioning Group,
I understand from Cheshire West and Chester that it was in fact Vale Royal CCG which commissioned the report from LJMU regarding the needs of the Sexual Health services in the area (possibly called a Compact compliant consultation?). I am unclear as to when the work was commissioned, but I understand that the work was completed in December 2013.

I would therefore be grateful if you could send me a copy of the brief given to Liverpool John Moore’s and a copy of their subsequent report.

Please also supply any additional information that may have been used but not included in the brief which specifies or alludes to the scoring criteria to be used in the assessment of needs.

Yours faithfully,

N.Siddle

Dear nhsvaleroyalccg foirequests (NHS VALE ROYAL CCG),
I apologise if my original request might have been ambiguous. What I was after was the brief given to LJMU to cover the analysis of needs in the Cheshire West and Chester area rather than in Vale Royal.
I was advised by CWaCC that Vale Royal had been responsible for this commission. If that is not so, please advise. If it was so, please send me (or point me to a location) for a copy of the brief and report.

Yours sincerely,

N.Siddle

This response is pretty well what I expected. Vale Royal (VR) CCG have answered in respect to their own involvement in a straightforward and accurate manner.
BUT, they confirm that their involvement was confined to their own area. Which begs the question, " why do Cheshire West & Chester (CWaCC) claim that VR were responsible for the commissioning of the work for CWaCC and that CWaCC therefore have no records of the commissioning?"
CWaCC continue to duck and dive and avoid answering legitimate questions and this is still being pursued via the ICO.
But I shall close this particular FOI as far as VR CCG is concerned
