Dear Dr Emma Briant,
Further to our acknowledgement email, please can you confirm the scope of
your request?
I understand that you are seeking communications dating from the
commencement of Dr Stott's employment at SOAS, but could you clarify whose
communications you wish to look for?
Many thanks,

Dear Information Compliance Manager,
Thank you for your reply to my email. I am requesting correspondence with persons working for LeaveEU, the Brexit Party or UKIP for the specified dates.
Yours sincerely,
Dr Emma L Briant

Information Compliance Manager, School of Oriental and African Studies

Dear Dr Emma Briant,
Thank you for your email.
Unfortunately I think our previous request for clarification has led to
crossed wires.
School policy dictates that we do not search across all SOAS email
accounts for information in response to requests under the Act.
Consequently, when an FOI asks for correspondence, we must ask the account
owners directly. We wanted to know whether you wished us to ask Dr Stott
alone for correspondence, or other staff too. If you would like us to look
for the relevant information in accounts other than Dr Stott's, please
specify those individuals or groups of individuals.
We understand that the information you are looking for is correspondence
with persons working for LeaveEU, the Brexit Party or UKIP between the
specified dates.
Please don't hesitate to write to me if you have any queries about this
email, or your request.
Kind regards,
David Ogden

Please could you share under the FOI Act any communication including
emails in full or briefings or reports or advice provided for LeaveEU, the
Brexit Party or UKIP or related individuals since the commencement of Dr
Stott’s employment at SOAS.

We asked for clarification on the scope of your request on 7 January 2020:

“I understand that you are seeking communications dating from the
commencement of Dr Stott's employment at SOAS, but could you clarify whose
communications you wish to look for?”

You replied on 15 January:

“I am requesting correspondence with persons working for LeaveEU, the
Brexit Party or UKIP for the specified dates.”

We sought further clarification on 16 January:

“Unfortunately I think our previous request for clarification has led to
crossed wires.

We understand that the information you are looking for is correspondence
with persons working for LeaveEU, the Brexit Party or UKIP between the
specified dates.”

You provided clarification on 16 January

“Thank you for clarifying- please just Dr Stott’s accounts and
correspondence please.”
