Dear Ms Howkins
Thank you for your email of 2 April 2019. The Treasury's references for this request are: FOI2019/02036 and R21-19.
Our letter to you dated 8 March 2019, under our reference FOI2019/02036, attached, explained that HM Treasury does not hold a total cost figure for the information you requested in relation to the pre- or post-EU referendum. This includes how much in total has been spent by the Government on advertising either before or since the EU referendum. Apologies that this was not clear from our letter in March.
The Government as a whole has developed a cross-departmental public information campaign to help inform citizens and businesses about how leaving the EU might affect them, which can be accessed at:
https://euexit.campaign.gov.uk/
Information on the costs associated with this cross-departmental campaign will be released in due course as part of normal transparency releases.
We hope this information is helpful. However, if you are still not happy with this reply, you can request a review by writing to HM Treasury, Information Rights Unit, 1 Horse Guards Road, London SW1A 2HQ or by emailing us at [email address] . Any review request must be made within 2 months of the date of this email. Should you seek a review, it would assist us if you set out which aspect(s) of the reply concern you and why you are dissatisfied.
Yours sincerely
