Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

Could you tell me how the basic ESA/JSA/UC is broken down into the minimum a claimant needs to live on? As an example how much for gas/electric, how much for water, how much for food, how much for the spare room subsidy? In fact, a full breakdown of everything that the benefit is meant to cover whilst a claimant receives it?
DWP might not put that it is the minimum a claimant needs to live on anymore but as prices increase and benefits haven't increased in years it would help if the amount rather than a percentage was given so as anyone on benefits could look at it and see just how much they are given in monetary terms.
Yours faithfully,

Sarah Conner
