Breakdown of results for the History and English Pre-U
Dear University of Cambridge,
I would be grateful if you could please provide the percentile results of people who took the History and English Pre-U examinations by grade. For example, hypothetically, 5.4% of people gained a D2 in English; and 9.2% gained an M1 in History. If possible, both the 2017 and 2016 results would be preferable.
Yours faithfully,
Cecelia Knight

Dear University of Cambridge,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of University of Cambridge's handling of my FOI request 'Breakdown of results for the History and English Pre-U'.
I do not believe my request comes under section 43(2), prejudice to commercial interests, of the Act to a significant enough, if any, extent that it should be cited as the reason for refusal.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/b...
Yours faithfully,

Dear Ms Knight
Following consideration of your request for an internal review I have
reviewed your original request of 13 March and the response sent to you on
15 March. I have concluded that colleagues in Cambridge Assessment
International Education were incorrect in applying section 43 of the
Freedom of Information Act as the information you sought is not
commercially confidential. I am therefore sending the data you requested
(see table below).

Dear John Harris,
Thank you very much for providing the information requested. It is appreciated. However, the table has not appeared inside the message on my computer. Therefore I would like to check that the percentile statistics match up with the grades with which they appear. In 2016, for example, did 13.1% of pupils gain a D1 in English?
Yours sincerely,
Cecelia Knight
Yes, that’s correct. I’ve attached the table as a separate PDF file if
that helps. I’m not sure why but we often seem to have problems with the
format of information when it goes on the WDTK site.
