employed by, or on behalf of, the Council, broken down into/grouped
by the contravention recorded

2) the number of fixed penalty notices issued for each
contravention recorded, broken down/grouped by contravention

3) a breakdown of these notices showing how many were paid, unpaid,

6 December 2010

Dear Irene Rice,

Many thanks for the clarification provided, and please accept my
apologies for not having responded sooner.

I would be obliged for one more point of clarification - the
numbers in response to questions 1 and 2 don't seem to add up. I
realise the questions originally were for the total number of
contraventions seen (Q1) and the total number of tickets issued
(Q2), and in some respects I would expect to see a lower number in
the answer to Q2, but (from other responses I've had) more often
than not the numbers are exactly the same (because a PCN is issued
for every contravention recorded).

But your answer to question 2 specifically refers to Smart Car
PCNs, has more contraventions of code 51 and even has more codes
than question 1.

Yours sincerely,

S Ayling
