Dear Scottish Prison Service,

REF: HQ 18071

Many thanks for sending me on the information on the number of prisoners paid for undertaking work. Would it be possible to send on a ledger or key. There are terms such as Pass Dnu and I.L.U (amongst others) that I am unfamiliar with.

Yours faithfully,

Sean Finnan

Dear Gaolinfo,

Dear Fleming Jill,
Reference: HQ 18071

Many thanks for your response. Can I clarify a few things with you regarding the spreadsheet.
1. I am just wondering what the various numbers refer to in Clyde Pass? What is the difference between Clyde Pass 1 and Clyde Pass 3 for example.
2. I do not see 'education' nor exercise on the list of purposeful activities despite it being regarded as such by the SPS. Would it be under a different category on the spreadsheet by any chance?
3. What does the term 'engineers' refer to in the spreadsheet?
4. What activity does the employability refer to in 'employability/induction'?
5. What does the activity 'Rules' refer to?
6. What are the different 'Unemployed' categories referring to in both Clyde and Kelvin.

I appreciate all your assistance in providing me with the FOI's and I know it's alot of trouble sourcing this information. Thanks for taking the time to handle them and any clarification on the above is greatly appreiated.

Yours sincerely,

Sean Finnan
