Break 180 days for ILR due to Coronavirus

Currently waiting for a response from Home Office, they should respond promptly and normally no later than (details).

Dear Home Office,

Can ILR be granted because one ended up staying more than 180 days outside the UK? I'm on maternity leave in my home country, planning to go back on the 31st of March(116 days) but due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, it is unsafe to travel with young children.

Upon research, gov.uk states:

"Serious or compelling reasons will vary but can include:
• serious illness of the applicant or a close relative
• a conflict
• a natural disaster, for example, volcanic eruption or tsunami"

Does the pandemic count as a natural disaster?

Yours faithfully,
Ffran

Dear Home Office,

At the moment, my city is on lockdown. No flights in and out. Our president declared a state of calamity for 6 months. I've heard the UK will also close its borders, what's going to happen if my visa expires before all this settles down? If I miss my deadline? I wont be able to go back to the UK? Ive been living and working there for 5 years. My husband is there and my kids are with me. They're all British citizens.

I dont know how and where else to ask about this.

Yours faithfully,

Fina
