Breaches of Councillor Code of Conduct

We're waiting for Jenna Jones to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Norfolk County Council,

For each year from 2018 through to present, please can you confirm the number of complaints made to the Monitoring Officer in respect of breaches of the Councillor Code of Conduct.

Please then confirm the number of these complaints that were upheld, providing for each one the name of the Councillor, the details of the breach as concluded by the Monitoring Officer and the outcome.

Our response:

 

Your request has been considered and is refused.  In accordance with the
Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act), this letter acts as a Refusal
Notice.

 

Exemption

 

Section 21(1) of the Act provides an exemption for release of information
that is reasonably accessible to you even if it is accessible only on
payment of a fee.

 

Information is to be taken to be reasonably accessible if it is
information which the County Council or any other person is obliged by or
under any statute to communicate to members of the public on request
whether free of charge or on payment.

 

Reason:

 

This decision is based upon the following reasons

 

The Council’s standards committee regularly receives reports and updates
on matters of standards and conduct, including complaints, and this
information is publicly available on the Council’s website. For your
