George Cant made this Freedom of Information request to Humberside Police

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Humberside Police did not have the information requested.

Dear Humberside Police,

Number of times your internal procedures have failed or been breached since 2003 in relation to child saftey matters, for each year from 2003-to date.

Number of times in particular, child saftey checks and checks into the people looking after children ( records and database checks )have not been done when they were supposed to be done

In relation to the bichard report ( failures at Humberside Police ), what year were the recommendations implemented at Humberside police.

What is your procedure for informing the affected party’s of any breaches

How many officers have been sanctioned for breaches of child safety or protection rules ( any considered breaches of the recommendations of bichard report or internal )

What are your procedures for recovery of a situation when a serious breach has been identified in relation to the person. IE, procedures for protecting the vulnerable child or adult that may have been placed in danger because of your failure.

Is there any reasonable reason, or gaps in the legislation/rules, that might currently result in children being placed in danger.

Understanding what constitutes a safety check by you, relative to the year you started doing it. Witch of the following would be included and what year did you start including them.

Check of local police records
Check of local social serives?caffcas records

Check of national police records. Date
Check of National Social service records. Date.

Court records ( local and national )

If you have different levels of safety checks, please list them, and list what conditions would trigger checks at each level, and if any were implemented after 2003, what year they started .

Finally.

In consideration that you may try to block this request for a number of reasons, including costs, If so, please consider the costs to the public purse and the tragic costs to the members of public that had to bear out the consequences of your failures around IAN HUNTLEY. This lead to the Bichard Enquiry, The kelly report and the sacking of your head by the government.

Yours faithfully,

George Cant

Dear Green, James 8935,

You have just not answered any part of that, i fear narrowing down my question will allow you to narrow down your answer, and i have specifically asked in this way to catch all data.

you ask "Please can you clarify whay internal procedures are being referred to in respect of child safety matters"

errm, all of them, any procedures before the bichard report and implementations, the date they were implemented,

you say "4). What is your procedure for informing the affected party's of any breaches --------- Not clear of what breaches is being referred to? Please can you clarify-------."

If your procedures have failed/ been breached, what is your procedure for informing the affected parties, if any.. ( thew parents for example )

the rest of the questions are self explanatory, WHY HAVE YOU JUST NOT MENTIONED SOME OF THE QUESTIONs

If you want to understand a perfect example of this systems failures and consequences, ask your own departments.

I also consider you could have answered most fo these by now. So i wish to add a question,

How many times have officers or employees of humberside police been sanctioned or worse, for matters in relation to sexual misconduct.

Here is good examplse ( just incase you don't understand the question again )
