Dear Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI),
Please provide details of any enforcement action and penalties levelled against retailers selling vaping products to underage UK consumers in relation to Parts 8 & 9 of the Regulations, either directly or via an age-compliant third party. I'm specifically interested in tracing how these products are finding their way in to the hands of minors as young as 11 years old for their own and other children's consumption.
Has there, for example, been any action taken by the police, schools and local authorities that have resulted in cautions, arrests and prosecutions against retailers and/ or the parents and carers of the underaged children concerned in an attmpt to curb this growing activity and would the information be available on a Councty Council level for comparison purposes?

The Chartered Trading Standards Institute is a private company, the Freedom of Information Act only applies to public authorities including companies that are wholly owned by public authorities. The Chartered Trading Standards Institute is the professional body for trading standards professionals who work in the public sector as well as in some private sector organisations and as such would not be privy to this type of information.
