Boxing Day Meet - Helston

The request was successful.

Dear Cornwall Council,

Please answer the following questions.

Has the event organiser completed an events application pack and if so when?

Has the hunt completed a proper risk assessment and provided proof of insurance?

Are any road closures planned and if so has legal permission been obtained and if so are the hunt paying for this and any equipment used?

Are they planning to ask for donations and if so do they have a street collection licence?

Are they planning to offer alcohol, if so do they have the necesary licence?

Who is cleaning up after the event, who is paying for the clean up and have they made arrangements to dispose of waste without recourse to Council bins?

If the hunt has any exemptions to the usual requirements for holding public events, please would you let me know exactly where the exemption is specified. If the hunt has no specific exemption, then it is subject to the usual procedures and licensing requirements. If the answers to these questions are unsatisfactory, then I assume the Meet will be called into question

Yours faithfully,

Primrose Jones
