Boxing Day Hunt

Jean Roberts made this Freedom of Information request to North Yorkshire County Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

North Yorkshire County Council did not have the information requested.

Dear North Yorkshire County Council,

My question is around the refusal of a request to not host the Boxing Day Meet

Did the Councillor met with the police to discuss matters before coming to this decision?

If so what concerns, if any, did the police have.

Has the Councillor asked the police about numbers of alleged instances of illegal hunting before coming to this decision?

If so how many alledged incidents of illegal hunting do the police say had been reported to them?

Did the Councillor check for any convictions around illegal hunting, affray and sett blocking the hunt might have before saying he was not going to ban the Meet

Yours faithfully,

Jean Roberts
