Bovine Tb incidence in the BVDP catchment
Dear Animal Health and Veterinary Laboratories Agency,
Please can you provide data on the bovine TB incidence found in cattle within the Gloucestershire Badger Vaccine Deployment Project Catchment Areas. New Herd Incidents and the number of cattle slaughtered within the area would be appreciated for the most recent available 36 months. This does not require individual farms or any personal details only the overall figures per month. If this can be separated into from holdings where badgers have been vaccinated and those which have not that would be helpful.
Additionally I would like if possible to request the same information is provided for the area in a 2km ring surrounding the catchment area itself.
Yours faithfully,
Tom Rabbetts

Dear Stewart, Norrie (AHVLA),
I have to say I find this response quite surprising, particuarly that this information is not being monitored and supplied to Natural England in order for them to assess the BVDP. Can you confirm that the disease incidence in this area has not been assessed by AHVLA in any way and that it is not monitoring the disease incidence in this area specifically.
Yours sincerely,
Tom
