Bovine TB Hunt Hounds

The request was successful.

Dear Animal and Plant Health Agency,

In March of this year, it was reported that a number of hounds had been destroyed from the Kimblewick Hunt due to an outbreak of Bovine TB.

Within the hunt's press release they state that "The hunt is waiting for APHA’s epidemiology report, which should give details of the likely source of infection, but it would appear that hounds have contracted bTB from eating contaminated flesh."

Could you tell me what test(s) APHA is using to determine whether the culled hounds have disease? And, how long it should take for the results to be made available?

Yours faithfully,

Nick
