Dear Home Office,
I am a Sky News producer investigating attacks / assaults by bouncers / door staff on members of the public in the past five years.
I would like to make the following requests under the Freedom of Information Act 2000:
1. How many SIA (Security Industry Authority) licences have been revoked for door supervisors (bouncers) working in the UK in the past 5 years?
When searching for cases, please include those that use any other terms that mean the same thing as: ‘attack’ ‘assault’ AND ‘bouncer’ ‘door security’ ‘door supervisor’ or ‘door staff’.
If possible, please include the location of where those licences were revoked.
Please present the information by calendar year (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 20019) in a simple table.
This can be emailed back to me
I understand that under the Act I am entitled to a response within 20 working days of your receipt of this request. Therefore I anticipate a response by 20/12/2019.
If you require any clarification, please contact me in accordance with your duty under Section 16 to provide advice and assistance.
In any case, if you can identify ways that my request could be refined please provide further advice and assistance to indicate this.
If my request is denied in whole or in part, I ask that you justify all deletions by reference to specific exemptions of the Act. I will also expect you to release all non-exempt material. I reserve the right to appeal your decision to withhold any information or to charge excessive fees.
