Border Force Profiling People as Sex Workers
Dear Home Office,
This week it has been widely reported in the media that the Border Force is refusing entry to the UK to persons on the grounds that they may be sex workers, e.g. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-gl...
I am seeking the following information:
(a) On what grounds are persons suspected to be sex workers refused entry to the UK?
(b) How many people have been refused entry to the UK over the last 5 (August 2012 - August 2017) years due to their being suspected sex workers? Further, if possible, please specify, the age or age range, gender (including if they are trans), nationality and point of entry of where these persons were refused.
Yours faithfully,
Lucy Smyth
