Bond Dickinson Paper on PO Insurance dated Aug 7th 2013 and subsequent Board Minutes where discussed.
Dear Post Office Limited,
Dear Post Office Limited,
Ref previous request FOI 12024/00364
In a letter to the BTC Parliamentary Committee and its chair Liam Byrne dated 16th Feb 2024, Nick Read CEO referred to a paper prepared by Bond Dickinson dated Aug 7 2013 on the subject of Insurance for Directors and Officers and the potential for claims to be made by Subpostmasters based on non disclosure/or discoveries of bugs errors and defects in Horizon (BEDS). I requested this paper in an FOI dated 28 Feb 2024 and still request this. I am awarew now there was no Board meeting in August so in the interests of clarity, I would like to see the minutes of the Board meetings that discussed this issue of BEDS and possible claims to be made that took place in September, and in October 2013. In addition I also requested sight of the Insurance Policy document itself for officers and Directors (AIG) .
Yours faithfully,
R Brocklehurst

Dear Post Office Information Rights,
You asked for more information for clarity re my two requests.
Yes I would still like you to proceed with request one which is the Bond Dickinson paper (Bond Perice is the possible name as there w=was a name change with this law firm) on Post Office Insurance dated August 7, 2013 referred to in a letter to Chair of the DBT Committee from Nick Read on February16th 2024 and the actual insurance document for Officers and Directors which I believe is from AIG.
I was in error in thinking there were Board Minutes for August where the Bugs Errors and Defects (BEDS) were discussed so I made a second request which I would also hope you can fulfil, which to repeat my request, is to see the Board minutes for September and October 2013, where these BEDS ad the paper from Bond Dickinson (Bond Peirce) were discussed.
Yours sincerely,
R Brocklehurst

Dear [email address],
Your ref: FOI2024/00372
I sent clarification on this on March 4th which is shown as having been delivered.
I would like the minutes of the Board which discussed the Bond Dickinson Paper on Insurance in 2013.
These minutes are the Board meeting of September and the Board meeting of October 2013. I also asked for the Bond Dickinson paper as well as a copy of the Insurance policy.
Please let me know why you keep asking for clarification for something already clarified.
Yours sincerely,
R Brocklehurst

Dear information.rights,
FOI 12024/00364
I requested the information on March 1st. In your subsequent acknowledgement and letter seeking clarification you said you would reply by April 3rd. It is now April 9th.
I asked for:
Bond Dickinson Paper on Insurance to POL Board August 7th 2013
AIG Insurance document if available
Two full POL Board Minutes for September and October 2013 where insurance may have been discussed.
Yours sincerely,
R Brocklehurst
Dear information.rights,
https://www.lawgazette.co.uk/news/solici...
The URL I offer here is a report in the Law Gazette of this week, 10th April 2024, which refers to advice given by them to Post Office by Andrew Parsons concerning not leaving a paper trail on insurance documents. I am not sure if the Inquiry disclosures this month on ths issue reveal that the advice constituted the 'paper' I had asked for from Andrew Parsons of Bond Dickinson (formerly Bond Pierce) and now knows as Womble Bond Dickinson or if there was a separate paper from Bond Dickinson dated August 7th. Clarification is therefore needed from you. Either way the fulfilment of this request is overdue.
On the second request for POL Board minutes for September and October 2013 where insurance was discussed, I have since discovered redacted Board minutes were received from you by Eleanor Shaikh on March 19th. I had requested these same Board minutes on March 1st, and Ms Shaikh's request predated mine. There was a crossover. You did not tell me this at the time you sought clarification from me. Unless you can provide me with unredacted minutes for these dates, I no longer need them.
Yours sincerely,
R Brocklehurst
Dear Post Office Limited,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Post Office Limited's handling of my FOI request 'Bond Dickinson Paper on PO Insurance dated Aug 7th 2013 and subsequent Board Minutes where discussed.'.
This is long overdue. I am writing this on May 14th. I would like an internal review and have already asked for one but had no response on that. Are you doing an internal review?
The request made by me on March 1st which resulted in your requesting clarification, I responded to and then you confirmed you needed no further clarification. I sent an update to say that I had not received the Insurance Paper referred to in my request but no longer needed the Board Minutes for POL for September or October 2013, ad these had been released to Eleanor Shaikh.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/b...
Yours faithfully,
R Brocklehurst
