Blue Badge Mobility Assessors

Richard Hunt made this Freedom of Information request to Greenwich Borough Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Dear Greenwich Borough Council,
I understand (from a Council reply to me regarding my mother's Blue Badge) that Mobility Assessors who work on Blue Badge applications are provided by an outside organisation.

Please provide me with the following details relating to this arrangement:

1.The name of the organisation
2. The month and year in which this organisation started providing these Assessors to Greenwich Council
3. Any and all "performance criteria" which have been agreed between the Council and the organisation by which the Assessor's work may be quantifiably measured, e.g. number of assessments to be completed in a year. In particular, please state whether any target figure exists for the number of applications which should be approved or rejected in a given time period

In addition, please provide me with the annual number of Blue Badge applications which were approved by Greenwich Council in each of the years 2008-2012; and the number of applications approved since the introduction of Mobility Assessors.

Thank you

Yours faithfully,

Richard Hunt
