In reply to your FOI request of 1.3.12 we have been supplied with the
following information in answer to your questions.
Q1. We don’t have specific guidelines, all providers are advised to
work to NICE guidelines and advice around self-monitoring of blood glucose
Q2. See response above, in line with SHA recommendations, we are
advising that where appropriate, use of meters associated with cheaper
blood strip costs should be used in the first instance. However there is
no as to which meter can be prescribed.
Q3. This role does not exist in this cluster
