Block building ages and insultation (EPCs)

The request was partially successful.

Dear Lewisham Borough Council,

On 09th April 2021 I wrote to Lewisham Borough Council requesting that the confirm the age of a council owned block and if this block had insulation in the walls, roof or loft. I received no response to wrote again on 08 May and stated that if I received no response, I would write a FOI request. As per usual still no response. Before this, in March I wrote to Pinnacle / Rydon asking for the same information because they manage the block under the Regenter PFI housing contractor but they stated that they did not know and that I should ask the freeholder (Lewisham Council). I have been informed that I used the correct Council email address.

This basic information is important to residents because it is required for insurance purposes and helps to increase the accuracy of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs). The assumption for EPCs is that external walls are not insulated.

1. Please confirm the years when construction of the following Regenter RB3 managed blocks was completed.
a. Brockley Road
b. Comerford Road
c. Whitbread Road

2. Please confirm if there is insultation in the external walls, loft space or roofs for each of the following blocks.
a. Brockley Road
b. Comerford Road
c. Whitbread Road

Yours faithfully,

P Waller
