Blackpool Fylde Tramway Network Proposal.

Christopher Callan made this Freedom of Information request to Blackpool Borough Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was partially successful.

Christopher Callan

Dear Blackpool Borough Council,

In the period circa 2002 Blackpool Borough Council in partnership with Lancashire County Council made a bid for Fylde Tramway Network proposal estimated to cost in the region of £1 Billion pounds. At the time the then Mr Jack, Fleetwood MP Joan Humble and Blackpool MP Gordon Marsden are all behind the improvement scheme. Working closely with the then portfolio holder for regeneration Coun Eddie Collett. The plans included extending the tracks beyong Starr Gate to St Annes in the south and to new housing estates in Fleetwood to the north. A further phase may see a new link between Blackpool, Fleetwood, Poulton and Thornton. I would assume Blackpool Council has the documents surrounding these proposals which were at the time public documents. I request these documents and core documentation associated with these proposals. I understand sections may be redacted. Thank you. The core document am after is the proposal itself. But any information surrounding it would indeed be useful.

Yours faithfully,

Christopher Callan

Dear Blackpool Borough Council,

Could you please provide an actual update. Not automatic self generating responses. Significant amount of time has lapsed since the original statutory deadline without a response either asking for more time, refusing FOI or even better handing over information....

Yours faithfully,

Christopher Callan
