Dear Home Office,

I am writing to ask what happens to the bio-metric data that you collect when issuing a bio-metric visa. Is this data stored not only on the visa chip, but also on a data base were it can be accessed by other government departments?

If it is also stored on a database, how long is it kept for? Can someone who has in the passed provided bio-metric data ask or apply for it to be removed?

Thank you for your time

Yours faithfully,

Ross Henderson
