Bin surveys

Basia Cummings made this Freedom of Information request to Bromley Borough Council as part of a batch sent to 15 authorities

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Dear Bromley Borough Council,

I would like to know whether the Authority has carried out any form of bin survey over the past five years.

Can the Authority provide the number of bin surveys it has conducted in each calendar year since 2014?
If applicable, can the Authority also provide the number of households subject to bin surveys in the same period?

For clarity, a bin survey is used to identify the types of rubbish being thrown away by households or which bins are being used, or both.

:: I would like to receive data in an Excel file format
:: I would appreciate the Authority providing any assistance to me regarding my request, if appropriate and as per relevant legislation.

Yours faithfully,

Basia Cummings

Dear Requester,

Further to your recent FOI enquiry (15698) having completed my enquiries,
please see response(s) to your FOI request highlighted in blue below,
which have been provided by a senior member of staff in the Environmental
Services and Public Protection department.

FOI RESPONSE(S) BELOW:

Q.  Can the Authority provide the number of bin surveys it has conducted
in each calendar year since 2014?  If applicable, can the Authority also
provide the number of households subject to bin surveys in the same
period?

Response:  Please find attached the response to your FOI. Please note that
the waste composition surveys conducted in 2016 were focused on
understanding the material breakdown of household waste in Bromley from an
aggregate waste sample. The waste produced by an individual household
could not be identified.

We trust this completes your FOI enquiry which has now been closed.

Thank you for your request.

Regards
