Big cat sightings in 2021

The request was successful.

Dear North Wales Police,

In relation to the 2021 calendar year from January 1st to August 31st inclusive:

1 - On how many occasions were the police informed there had been a sighting of a 'big cat'?

i.e. a wild cat, which was significantly larger than a domestic cat and was thought could have been a puma, leopard, lynx or other large member of the cat species.

2 - In relation to the most recent three sightings, please provide both a summary of the report received and the police action summary.

North Wales Police have previously disclosed this information for 2020 under request 2021/059 response date 21/01/2021, as seen in your disclosure log. This is a request for the same data for the calendar period above and I'm happy to receive it in the same format as the response to this request.

Yours faithfully,

T Jones
