Dear InfoMgr, FinDMT,

Thank you for your reply in which you asked,

"please can you
advise as to the extent of land included in your request, or if possible,
the specific properties on Bidston Hill that are referred to in your
request?"

I'd like the complete list please. Bidston Hill is only approx 100 acres and from what I understand the vast majority of it remains under the stewardship of Wirral Borough Council so I don't think that the requested list of information will be excessive in any way.

Yours Sincerely

Victoria Dixon

Dear InfoMgr, FinDMT,

My apologies I made a typing error in my previous reply.
I wrote "the documents will be excessive"

When I should have put,
"i do NOT think that the documents will be excessive.

My apologies.

Yours sincerely,

Victoria Dixon

In response to your questions “Who maintains Bidston Hill and at what
cost?  How is the allowance for the maintenance of Bidston Hill worked
out?

Over the past 5 years, What unforeseen costs has Wirral Borough Council
incurred relating to bidston hill  (expenses that are not planned for but
instead came about  In addition to any dedicated maintenance allowance)?”

We can advise that, as with all Parks and Countryside sites, Bidston Hill
does not have its own defined budget.  It is just one site within the
geographical area of Birkenhead and the Parks Manager will hold a budget
for the entire Birkenhead district to cover all sites.  Spend across those
sites is based on priorities, with health and safety being key.  If an
issue arises at a site then the district budget would be used to address
it.  This means that some sites may have more budget spent on them in any
one year, i.e. If there were a run of issues at a particular site.  This
is dynamic, depending upon the demands and issues that require addressing.

You have the right under Section 17 of the Act to ask for an internal
review if you are unhappy with the Council’s handling of your request.
This should be sent to [1][Wirral Borough Council request email] .  If you are
dissatisfied with the result of your internal review, you also have the
right to complain to the Information Commissioner, whose contact details
can be found at [2]www.ico.gov.uk [3]http://www.ico.gov.uk
