Bermuda Prosecution in Wales
Dear Crown Prosecution Service,
I ask to have explained, to be provided with all information about, the prosecution of a local resident for offences committed in Bermuda. I wish to understand:
the decision to prosecute in Wales, not Bermuda;
the cost of the proceedings in terms of resources and costs;
how much the Bermuda police contributed to the cost;
who is pursuing recovery of the funds taken; and
whether we will have funds reinstated.
Yours faithfully,
Rhys Evans

Dear Freedom of Information Unit,
Accountant Jeffrey Bevan jailed for £1.7m Bermuda theft
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-43084...
An accountant who stole £1.7m from the Bermuda government and spent it on property in the UK has been jailed for seven years.
Jeffrey Bevan, 50, of Cwmbran, lived a "double life" and "manipulated" a government payment system he was employed to set up. Cardiff Crown Court heard he deposited the cash into accounts in the UK.
He previously admitted transferring criminal property and converting criminal property.
Yours sincerely,
Rhys Evans
