Bercow – accessing of MPs’ email accounts

Dear Sir or Madam,

This is a Freedom of Information request.

Please confirm whether the official @parliament.uk email accounts of any Members of Parliament were accessed without their knowledge by Parliamentary staff at the request of Speaker John Bercow or his personal staff. The timeframe for this request is from the date on which Bercow was elected Speaker up to the date on which he ceased to be Speaker.

Please detail the number of occasions in which email accounts were accessed without MPs being informed and, if possible, the names of the MPs who accounts were accessed.

This information is not held by the House of Commons. The House holds no
record of any such requests made by the former Speaker or his staff.

 

 

You may, if dissatisfied with the handling of your request, complain to
the House of Commons. Alternatively, if you are dissatisfied with the
outcome of your request you may ask the House of Commons to conduct an
internal review of any decision regarding your request.  Complaints or
