Thank you for your e-mail.  The University will endeavour to respond to
requests under the Freedom of Information Act within 20 working days.  

 

However, we are currently extremely  a delay in providing responses as we
are short staffed and have a significant backlog of requests which we are
working through as quickly as we can.  This means that some responses may

2017. We apologise for the delay in providing our response.  We are

University’s Response

 

Further to Section 1 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the “Act”) we
confirm that the information requested is held by the University of
Bristol (the “University”).

 

We are unable to provide a line by line analysis for each applicant as it
could be possible to identify the individuals concerned. The information
is exempt from disclosure under Section 40 (2) of the Act -third party
personal information. This is an Absolute exemption therefore there is no
requirement to conduct public interest test. Any information is exempt
from disclosure under the Act if it relates to or is supplied by another
individual and disclosure of that information would contravene any of the
principles of the Data Protection Act (1998).

 

We have provided you with the total figures in each category requested for
the 2015 and 2016 admission cycles. UKCAT was not used in these cycles. It
was first used in the 2017 admissions cycle. The information for that
cycle is still being collated and will be available in December.

 

* A-level subject grades (predicted) 

All applicants invited to interview are required to be predicted grade
AAA including A in Chemistry and A in another lab-based
science.  Applicants registered on a widening 
participation scheme that is recognised and accepted by the University are
required to have predicted grades of AAC including AA in Chemistry and

Internal Review Procedure
