BDS Dentistry admission statistics

We're waiting for David Wong to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear University of Liverpool,

I would like to request for information for the BDS Dentistry admissions.

Please provide me an excel sheet with the following information for each of the latest 2 admission cycle for the BDS Dentistry course:

* UKCAT score
* A-level subject grades (predicted and achieved)
* GCSE grades
* Interviewed / Not interviewed
* Made an offer / Not made an offer
* Enrolled / Applicant declined offer / Applicant did not meet offer

The latest 2 admission cycle - 2016/17 and 2017/18
If you do not have 2017/18, then please provide for 2015/16 and 2016/17

Dear Mr. Wong,

 

Thank you for your email received 31^st August 2018 requesting BDS
Dentistry admissions statistics.  I am pleased to provide the requested
information as set out below:-

 

Information relating to the last two admissions cycles for the A200 BDS
course at the University of Liverpool:

 

* UKCAT score

We do not have a set UKCAT score cut-off point at Liverpool Dental School,
as the UKCAT scores are considered along with the Personal Statement and
academic attainments.

 

* A-level subject grades (predicted and achieved)

All applicants shortlisted for interview/accepted on the course will have
been predicted/have achieved grades AAA at A level (or equivalent)
including Biology and Chemistry.  Exception - Applicants registered on a
widening participation scheme that is recognised and accepted by Liverpool
University or have approved extenuating circumstances may be accepted at
ABB (including Biology and Chemistry).

 

* GCSE grades

We do not rank or attribute points to the GCSE grades an applicant has
achieved.  All applicants shortlisted for interview are expected to have
our minimum GCSE requirement in place at the time of application.

2017 – A minimum of 9 GCSEs to include 6 A grades and 3 B grades. English
Language, Maths and Science required at a grade B or above.   

2018 – A minimum of 8 GCSEs to include 5 A grades and 3 B grades. English
Language, Maths and Science required at a grade B or above.   

 

* Interviewed / Not interviewed

2017 – 675 applications received and 337 applicants interviewed

2018 – 783 applications received and 333 applicants interviewed

 

* Made an offer / Not made an offer

2017 – 168 offers made

2018 – 155 offers made

 

* Enrolled / Applicant declined offer / Applicant did not meet offer
