BBC Discounted Senior and Executive Salaries 2015

The request was successful.

Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,

I am requesting an update on my FOI request of last year in light of further recruitment, the BBC's 2015 pay increase for senior managers and based on this year's benchmarking data.

How many staff in each of Executive Board, and SM1 and SM2 (by division) fall into the following bands as of 1 September 2015:
- paid in excess of commercial sector
- paid at commercial sector rate
- direct remuneration reduced by 1-9%
- direct remuneration reduced by 10-19%
- direct remuneration reduced by 20-29%
- direct remuneration reduced by 30-39%
- direct remuneration reduced by 40-49%
- direct remuneration reduced by 50-59%
- direct remuneration reduced by 60-69%
- direct remuneration reduced by 70-79%
- direct remuneration reduced by 80-89%
- direct remuneration reduced by 90-99%

Additionally,
- at what rate is the comparison with the commercial sector set, for example, median, average or top of the scale;
- what is the BBC's definition of "commercial public sector," the stated comparator in the Annual Accounts.

Yours faithfully,

S Craig

Dear FOI Enquiries,

Thank you for finally providing a response.

The BBC continues to claim it discounts Executive salaries but hasn't actually fact-checked this for at least two years.

Yours sincerely,

S Craig
