The request was successful.

Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,

How many compromise (settlement) agreements did the BBC sign off between 1 April 2015 and 31 March 2016?

In how many of cases had the employee been accused of sexual harassment, bullying, fraud or other crimes or misconduct?

Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of British Broadcasting Corporation's handling of my FOI request 'BBC Compomise Agreements 2015/16'.

Thank you for the partial response.

There is no central database of this information at the Employment Law Dept but you say that is where the files are held - ie in one place. Surely it would not take too long to skim 22 files. Certainly not 2.5 days.

The correspondence must set out clearly the business grounds justifying a financial case for the compromise deal.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/b...

Yours faithfully,

S Craig

Dear FOI Enquiries,

On the helpful advice of the BBC's internal reviewer Ms Katherine Leslie and am narrowing the scope of my request.

The BBC confirmed it signed compromise agreements with 22 BBC employees between 1 April 2015 and 31 March 2016.

Please confirm or deny if the electronic personnel file of each of these individuals records a complaint (upheld or not) of sexual harassment, bullying, fraud or other internal complaint in the five years prior to their departure from the BBC.

This is not a new request. It is the original request narrowed in scope.

Yours sincerely,

S Craig
