Bath City Centre Security Plans

We're waiting for Simon Marshall to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Avon and Somerset Constabulary,

Bath and NE Somerset council cite the support of Avon & Somerset Police in respect to the Council's extant Bath City Centre Security Plan to exclude traffic from much of the city centre. The Joint Community Safety Plan 2018-2021 for Bath and North East Somerset (Nov 2018, at p21-42), produced jointly by the Constabulary and the council, does not, however, record this as an objective. There has been no increase in the threat level since 2018. Please therefore supply the relevant correspondence between the police and the council with respect to the requirement, or otherwise, for vehicles to be excluded from Bath city centre on grounds of security from terrorist threats.

Yours faithfully,

Simon Marshall
