I am writing to request information in relation to BASICS if you have this service please to respond to the questions, which includes:-
1. Are vehicles equipped by your service or do you have to provide your own vehicle?
2. Do you provide green lights for the responders?
3. How many times on average does a responder get called per year?
4. What equipment they are given?
5. How they are called and are they given a handheld radio?
6. Can they apply for advanced driver training and use blue lights if so?
7. What are the operational hours?
8. Can they be called anywhere or is there a certain radius they can be called with in?
9. What they can attend?

Thank you for your request for information, which we received on 22^nd
April 2020
The IOW NHS Trust is currently under extreme pressure due to the Covid 19
outbreak and all of our resources are being diverted to dealing with this
national emergency. In these difficult times, in order to reduce the
overwhelming pressures currently being experienced by all NHS Trusts we
ask you to reconsider submitting your Freedom of Information Request and
either withdraw it or defer it, to enable more of our resources to be
directed into managing the current health crisis. Your co-operation at
this time is appreciated.
If we do not hear back from you within the next two working days, we will
assume you do not wish to proceed and will close your request accordingly.
We will make every effort to respond to your Freedom of Information
request within 20 working days. However, if we are experiencing any
difficulties gathering the information, we will contact you to advise you
of the expected timescale of any delay.
In order to assist you fully, if your request is in any way unclear we may
need to contact you to ensure that we understand what information you are
requesting.
