Banned dogs in Jubilee Park
Dear Spennymoor Town Council,
I sent and email entitled '"Dog Gate" Jubilee Park' to the Town Clerk asking "What would the possibility of STC making an official statement on social media and the Spennynews to clarify under which law that dogs can be banned from Jubilee Park, how it is enforced and who is responsible for enforcing the ban?" on 28th September, 2017.
By the 10th October, 2017, I hadn't received a reply, so I sent a follow up email to the Town Clerk asking "Has a decision been made to my email below?"
I received an email back from the Town Clerk with an apology for the delay and saying "I have forwarded your email to the chairman of the council and I am awaiting some direction on the matter.
I will get back to you as soon as I have a response."
To date I have not received a response back on this matter.
I would like Spennymoor Town Council to provide me with the following information.
1. Confirm who is the Chairman of the Council that my email was forwarded to?
2. Provide copies of all emails to and from the Chairman of the Council on this matter?
3. Has the Chairman of the Council responded to my forwarded email to any Member or Officer of Spennymoor Town Council?
4. If the Chairman of the Council has responded to my forwarded email, what is the reason why I have not been informed of the contents of the response?
5. Can you provide me with which authority gives Spennymoor Town Council the right to ban dogs from entering Jubilee Park?
6. If someone is caught in Jubilee Park with their dog, what is the punishment for breaching the no dogs allowed ban?
7. Who is responsible for enforcing the no dogs allowed ban in Jubilee Park?
8. What checks are done to ensure the no dogs allowed ban in Jubilee Park is being enforced?
Yours faithfully,
Pete Molloy
