Bank of England Non-Bank Applications for Payment Connections
Dear Bank of England,
Can you please tell us the names of the non-banks that have applied to connect to the Bank of England's payment systems, and the dates that they applied for this? Can you also tell us which non-banks have already connected to the BoE payment system, and the dates they connected to it?
As secondary question, can you please tell us how many non-banks have applied to connect to the BoE payment system in each month since July 2017?
For context, Bank of England Governor Mark Carney said in a speech in June that six non-banks had connected to the central bank's payment systems (instead of only commercial banks). In case it is useful, here is the link to the speech:
