Dear Francis Harris
Thank you for your email dated 2 June in which you ask for access to the following under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 (‘FoI Act’):
‘1. In 2019-2021, did the Bank apply to be a “Stonewal Diversity Champion” or to be included on
Stonewal ’s “Workplace Equality Index”.
2. Did the Bank receive any feedback from Stonewall in relation to either application or
programme.
3. Details of the total amount of money you paid to Stonewall (i) in 2019; (ii) in 2020 and (iii) 2021.
4. Whether you intend to continue your membership of any Stonewall scheme in the future, and if
so which.’
The Bank of England (the ‘Bank’) has been a Stonewall Diversity Champion throughout the time period of
your interest and last applied to be included on the Stonewal ’s Workplace Equality Index in 2019, for

to the Bank by Stonewall. The Bank has renewed its Stonewall Diversity Champion membership for
2021/22 and is intending to apply for the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index 2022 later this year.
