BAME staff risk assessment

The request was successful.

Dear NHS Trust or Clinical Commissioning group,

On behalf of Sky News, I am trying to obtain an answer to the following questions.

I would appreciate a response as detailed as possible please.

"Simon Stevens and Amanda Pritchard wrote to all NHS trusts and CCG Chief Executives on the 29th of April to advise that employers, on a precautionary basis, should conduct risk assessments for staff at greater risk during the COVID-19 pandemic and to act accordingly.
Has your organisation completed risk assessments on all Black Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) staff?
AND
What precautions, if any, have you put in place to protect BAME staff once they've been risk assessed?"

Yours faithfully,

Inzamam Rashid

Dear Inzamam Rashid

I write in response to your FOI request received on 22^nd May 2020
regarding COVID risk assessments for black and minority ethnic staff.
Please accept my apologies for the delay in providing you with a response.

I can confirm that all staff were notified of the importance of completing
a Covid 19 risk assessment with their manager.  The outcome of each risk
assessment is either no further action required, or a personal action plan
for the individual employee.  The completion of the risk assessments have
been followed up by the HR Business Partners to ensure completion and
appropriate actions taken.  MSE FT has a number of network groups for
staff and the Covid 19 risk assessment process has been a point of
discussion with our BAME Network.

If you have any further queries or if you are not satisfied with the way
that your request was handled, please do not hesitate to contact me.

If we cannot resolve your issue, you can contact the Information
Commissioner directly. Further information about your rights is also
available from the Information Commissioner.
