Response

 

As required by section 1(1)(a) Freedom of Information Act (the “Act”), we
can confirm that we do hold the information specified in your request.

 

 1. The key milestones on the recently unveiled project to upgrade the
park and ride facilities at Ballymena Station.

 

Current construction works planned start date is summer 2022 pending
planning approval. Construction completion is currently planned for Spring
2024.

 

 2. Earlier this year, Translink & the Department for Infrastructure
revealed plans for a new integrated bus and rail station building. Is
this plan still going ahead?

 

Plans for the new integrated station are currently at feasibility stage.
These plans will be taken forward as a funding case in Winter 2021 for
review by the Department for Infrastructure and the Department for
Finance.
