Dear Mr Woods,

Thank you for your email received on 5 May 2015 requesting information about Ballot Papers issued Parliamentary Election 2010.

I have recorded your request for information under reference F2015.05.1253.

This has been passed to the relevant service and you will receive a response by 3 June 2015.

In line with guidance published by the Information Commissioner’s Office, the council may make a charge for the provision of information – for example in order to cover the costs of postage (in line with the relevant postal charges) or charges for printing and copying (which will reflect photocopying charges levied by the council’s public libraries) or if this falls within the regulations of an EIR (Environmental Information).

You will be informed if a fee is to be applied before information is to be provided.

issued Parliamentary Election 2010, and our response is shown below.

Please accept my sincere apologies for the delay in responding to  this
request for information.

The answers to your questions are clearly highlighted below.  Please note
these figures relate solely to the Knowsley Constituency.  The Returning
Officers for the  Liverpool and St Helen’s Constituencies  hold the
information requested relating to the Halewood Wards and Whiston/Prescot
East Wards respectively.

47,987  (including postal votes)

·        How many of these ballot papers were spoiled?

520 (including postal votes)

·        And how many out of all the ballot papers issued had votes cast?
