Bailiff indemnities

The request was successful.

Dear Luton Borough Council,

Dear Worcester City Council,

Under foia

does your enforcement agent contract allow your enforcement agents

to issue a indemnity against prosecution for themselves without the agreement of the council in cases where they have wrongfully seized and to vulnerable people

Have you ever allowed bailiffs to make their own settlement agreements where goods have to be returned?

Would you allow enforcement agents to breach the equalities act if it meant your business rates were collected .

How would you react if they did this without you knowing?

this is not a complaint btw its for research into bailiff law

Yours faithfully,

dan prkns

Dear LBC Feedback,

thank you for your honesty
it is refreshing and much appreciated

this was not a complaint about you but i know of a case where it nearly caused a suicide because the bailiff held goods for 3 months and then secretly got the debtor to sign a consent not to sue if he wanted his goods back
then never told the council .and the councils audit obviousley never picked it up

can i ask do you audit your external agents at all ie have regular meetings to see how levees are going?

thank you again .refreshing

Yours sincerely,
